Job description

Warning systems designed to assist the driver in the perception of important information like a potential hazard is never completely reliable. Thus, a question arise about the way drivers adapt to these kinds of system according to their reliability.

The objective of this PhD proposal is to assess the impact of confidence in warning system on the processing of relevant visual information. To do so, we propose a behavioural and electrophysiological (EEG) approach on driving simulator in order to examine the neurophysiological correlates of the processing of relevant visual information of the driving scene according to the reliability of a warning system.

Requirements

All candidates must be fluent in spoken and written English.

The PhD applicant should hold a Masters degree in neuroscience or cognitive psychology and should have experience with experimental research.

Remuneration
