Strengthening the abilities of researchers to disseminate research results

It is an important issue for researchers to be able to disseminate their scientific results to a large audience. For that, they need to master specific skills such as e.g. presentation skills, written and oral skills, English language, scientific communication that will be taught at the local level. At the network-wide level, joint actions will be set up to apply the knowledge acquired at local level.

First, ESR will be invited to make presentations of the advancement of their work during the ITN bi-annual meetings. They will have also a direct access to information about forthcoming scientific and technical events related to the research project and their participation and contribution to these events will be encouraged and facilitated. During the third year of the project, ESR/ER will be involved in the organisation of a special session in a European or international conference on transport. The publishing of a special issue in a scientific journal will take place during the lifetime of the project.

ESR will be involved in the preparation of a two-day final workshop to ease the transfer of the project results towards relevant stakeholders. The workshop will deal with the two following topics:

• “How to improve the design of ADAS as regards to road safety and drivers’ behaviour”
• “How to heighten public awareness for a safe use of ADAS”
