INRETS : Institut National de Recherche sur les Transports et leur Sécurité
General description: The French National Institute for Transport and Safety Research (INRETS) was created in 1985. Its missions aim to organize and carry out research in order to improve traffic and transport from the technical, economic and social viewpoints; to carry out evaluative and advisory studies; to promote research results, to disseminate scientific knowledge and to participate in research training. The Laboratory of Ergonomics and Cognitive Sciences applied to Transport (LESCOT) is involved in ADAPTATION. This human factors laboratory contributes to the design and evaluation of in-vehicle technologies with a human centred approach in order to improve road safety and mobility.
Roles in the ITN: Project coordinator / Host and coach a PhD student investigating warning information processing with both behavioural and electrophysio-logical approaches / Involvement of INRETS staff in training programme as organizer, trainers and trainees.
